Diane Stevens Counselling Service offers volunteer opportunities to trained and trainee volunteer counsellors.

This works towards supporting the emotional wellbeing of individuals through the opportunity of meeting face to face, on an ongoing regular basis with a counsellor in school or agency environment.

Volunteers will be committed to offering a minum of three hours per week on a regular day each week. There is a minimum commitment of one year for continuity.  

The service offers free Induction, Assessment and Child Protection Training.  Regular training sessions are also offered throughout the year at a discounted cost to service volunteers.

Group supervision is offered free in groups of 4 -6 for two hours per month. Volunteers have the option to choose one to one supervision on a monthly basis at their own cost, if this is more appropriate.

Volunteers are subject to an enhanced CRB check and must hold there own professional liability insurance.
