Confidentiality is extremely important to ensure the counselling is effective.
Brief notes will be kept of each session, which will be destroyed on completion of our work together. These notes will not be shared with anyone else.
The law requires me to inform police of any concerns arising with child protection, drug smuggling or an act of terrorism.
As a professional counsellor I receive supervision of my work. My supervisor adheres to the same professional confidentiality rules and will only receive information of you in the form of 'my client'; your name will not be mentioned between my supervisor and myself. This is to help me appropriate my work and to aid me work to good standards.
