Employer Assistance enables the employer to support the employee in getting back to work.  This may be after absence or to support the employee remain in work whilst working through their emotional difficulties.

 

Statistics from HSE (hse.gov.uk), say it is estimated that work related stress, depression or anxiety affected 415,000 individuals who had worked in the last 12 months, 2008/09, with an estimated 11.4 million lost working days due to these work related conditions.  This represents an estimated average of 27.5 working days lost per affected case and makes stress, depression or anxiety the largest contributor to the overall estimated annual days lost from work-related ill-health in 2008/09. (HSE).

 

Six sessions are offered as oppose to longer term therapy but the employee has the option to continue the sessions on a longer term basis at their own cost if they feel it would be useful, giving them control of their own emotional welfare.

 

One to one sessions are solution focused sessions using skills such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to enable the employee to explore current issues that are blocking them from functioning in a way that they would perceive as normal. Appointments can be made within 24 hours of receving the referral and male and female counsellors are available 7 days per week. 

 

 

This kind of therapy is useful to a business or service wishing to support employees when they are experiencng difficulties, helps to resolve conflict between staff members and gives the company the facilitiy to use client consented feedback where this may be useful to the workplace.

 

 

There is no long term contract to be entered into and this is purely a 'pay as you go' service.  Please contact me for further details.
